WELCOME TO EAA CHAPTER 40

If you're new to Chapter 40, please check out the "About us" link. You'll find information about the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), an introduction to our local EAA Chapter 40, and other information that you may find helpful.

NOTE: There is no regular Chapter meeting in April! Chapter 40 will be hosting the B-17 "Aluminum Overcast" at Van Nuys airport in place of the meeting. The next regular chapter meeting will be on Saturday, May 17, 9:30 am in Rocky's Restaurant at Whiteman airport.

The next Young Eagles event will be Saturday, April 26, 10:30 am at Whiteman airport. See the "Young Eagles" link for more information.


The EAA B-17 "Aluminum Overcast" is coming to Southern California April 18-21, 2008. EAA Chapter 40 is fortunate to be hosting this event at the Syncro hanger at Van Nuys airport.
Free Airplane Rides!

If you are 8 to 17 years old you can get a free airplane ride! As part of the EAA's Young Eagles program, Chapter 40 is giving kids free airplane rides every 4th Saturday of the month. Here's what you have to do:

1. Download and print the Young Eagles registration form

2. Have your parent or guardian fill out and sign both sides of the registration form

3. Come to the airport on the next Young Eagles day (check the calendar)

4. Fly!
